Moi, Glue & You!

Oh, how I've grown from my last post in May! Just look at me! It hasn't rained here in a while so I was sittin' out on the patio just enjoying the cool aire! Please excuse my ears though! Mum has been very frustrated trying to get my ears right. Yes! We are still gluing after 8 whole months! Although, it's embarrassing, Mum told me that I HAD to post some of my glued ears pictures so everyone could see. Oh, how I hate ear gluing! Mum has really been slacking on my blog so I feel the need to apologize to all the wonderful dog bloggers out there who continue to keep speaking to me in the comments section. You are all some of the bestest friends an Airegurl could have (& oodles of love for my littermate brother, Travis who lives in NE)! So much has happened since May. I think that I have finally gotten over my car sickness! It was definitely a feat, but Mum and Dad have been taking me for rides in the car an awful lot and now I smile when I ride! See? Mum says I have to wear my seatbelt in the car because it keeps me safe! I don't mind (as you can see). At least it keeps me from sliding all over the back seat. The only thing I don't like about the seatbelt is that it refrains me from jumping up in the front seat with Mum & Dad! I swear that I can keep a better eye on them from the front seat, plus I just like sitting on their laps! Mum knows that I *must* keep this blog updated so keep stopping by! She promised me she would update it more often (plus, I gave her kisses!) Cheers and a BIG Nosepoke to all of my friends!

A Day at the Dog Park

Mum and I heard about something called the, "Bow Wow Pow Wow" in this little town up the street. Mum told me it was a doggy event and that it benefit the Second Chance Dog Shelter in Dallas. Anyway, Mum packed up some "essentials" (water, treats & a toy) and off we went to the event! I had never been to anything like it! It was JAM PACKED with dogs of all kinds! However, I was the only Airedale there. People just oohhh'd and ahhh'd at me & told mum that I was so beautiful! They had a makeshift Agility course and homemade doggy accessories and best of all, a makeshift dog park! It was my first time in a dog park, but I ran around and met all kinds of friends! I wouldn't play with them though because I was to busy exploring! Here I am, making some friends! If you look closely in this last picture, you can see my bell-bottom. Sometimes, Mum and Dad tease me and call me Liberty Bell Bottom! I don't mind though as this is a sign of affection! Anyway, after about 2 hours, I got very heated. Mum said it was 97 degrees outside (and humid at that)! Have you ever been in 98 degrees?! This Texas weather is killer! As soon as Mum ran out of water, it was time to go! Back to the car we went! I was so exhausted that as soon as mum and I got home, mum gave me some ice and it was off to bed I went! What a day!

Beach Ball

I had such a good weekend! Mum took me outside & played w/me. She *never* lets me off the leash, but this time, due to special circumstances, I was set free! See, I had this fear of beach balls. Everytime I got even a little close to one, I'd jump back and run for home! However, mum helped me to get over it. She slowly walked towards the beach ball until she was standing right next to it w/me on the leash. I was very scared, but since I trust my mum, I inched up very slowly until I was able to take a sniff. Then I discovered it was a ball! Mum called me a very courageous girl! I felt very proud, as you can see! Mum kicked the ball around and let me go! I chased it around and caught it very quickly! What fun I had! After a few times the ball didn't look quite the same. Mum says I killed it, but I was just playing! It looked fine to me! I had so much fun playing with that beach ball that Mum went to the store a few days later and bought me a couple more!! She thinks I'm going to kill them again, but you never know! I may just be very gentle with them! I mean, I *do* get to play outside, don't I? Mum thinks I look like I'm dancing when I'm playing! I like listening to music! I especially LOVE it when my Daddy sings to me (in a very high pitched voice)!

Teething!

I've just been teething, teething, teething lately! I wonder if all Airedales go though the same thing? I've lost 2 of my baby teeth so far this week! Mum feels for me and gives me these things she calls "Moo-Tubes". I LOVE Moo-Tubes. Here's me in my favorite green bed chewing away! These Moo-Tubes as my Mum calls them, keep me busy so Mum can get things done (plus I just LOVE to chew and the Moo-Tubes are soooo tasty!)

Texas Airedale!

Hi ya'll! My name is Liberty and I'm an Airedale Terror from Texas! I live with my Mum and Dad in Carrollton TX w/my step-brother (*ahem*....enemy), Ozma, the cat. I was born on January 20th, 2006 in Austin TX. I'm what you call a "Spindletop Airedale". Well, that's where my Mum and Dad got me from anyway. Mum says that I'm such a pretty girl that she's going to show me in confirmation and do agility w/me! I'm more excited about the agility cause I'll get to run and jump over stuff! Here I am passed out after a long day w/my Mum getting groomed! I was really sleepy! Mum says I was good though as it was the first time I was exposed to the stripping knives! The worst part was when Mum touched my tail! Who wants their tail stripped? Not me, that's for sure!
